    This album was recorded in early 1985. the music reflects a collection of ideas I'd been working on at the time. My goal was to make a "guitar-record" that would be enjoyed by all; not just a "guitar-chops-record" but one with real music on it. It took 107 hours to record and mix all of the material. the pace was brisk but exhilarating. and with the help of john cuniberti and jeff campitelli each composition developed into a unique statement of texture, emotion and style. But you're probably wondering who Joe Satriani is and "Where did he come from?" well a certain amount of mystique is good but I'll give you a hint. I was born and raised in New York and I've been playing guitar for about 16 years. although i now reside in california, i've played in europe, asia and all over the united states with different bands at different times. As of this moment, I'm putting my own group together as well as recording another solo record, which I promise will turn heads, drop jaws and create world peace in our lifetime!
