Special Thanks To The DRAGONCHOIR & Max Vaccaro and All at EDEL for allowing this to see the light of day.

Back in 1991 and 1992 I had the pleasure to work with two of rock's greatest founders: Keith Emerson and Glenn Hughes. Being that they had been such an inspiration to me in my formative years i jumped at the opportunity (after somewhat orchestrating it) to work with them both again on the same stage. along with my brothers in The DRAGONCHOIR (Bob Birch, Mick Mahan, Ed Roth, Mike Wallace and Joe Travers) I can honestly say that those magical nights on stage were among the most memorable and rewarding of my life. We are only too happy to finally be able to share some of that magic here on this album ...

    4. A Whiter Shade Of Pale

      We skipped the light fandango
      Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
      I was feeling kinda seasick
But the crowd called out for more
      The room was humming harder
      As the ceiling flew away
When we called out for another drink
      The waiter brought a tray
And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale

She said, 'There is no reason
And the truth is plain to see.'
But I wandered through my playing cards
And would not let her be
      One of sixteen vestal virgins
Who were leaving for the coast
And although my eyes were open
They might have just as well've been closed
And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale

And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face, at first just ghostly,
Turned a whiter shade of pale

    6. Cover Me

      Somewhere between the lines unbroken
There lies the sacred part of me
Behind the door that once was opened Is where I fell from grace you see
      Inside I feel the pressure
      My faith I cannot measure
Seems like the wound has deepened I wake but I'm not breathing and I say

Cover me while I'm sleeping, won't you cover me?
Cover me if I'm bleeding, won't you cover me?
Cover me, be my shadow, won't you cover me?
Cover me, I will follow, won't you?

So won't you take this captured spirit?
Now won't you hear my final plea?
You got to cut the wire, release your sympathy
      Unspoken words that heal
This dream just can't be real and I say

Cover me while I'm sleeping, won't you cover me?
Cover me if I'm bleeding, won't you cover me?
Cover me, be my shadow, won't you cover me?
      Cover me, I will follow

      Somewhere between the lines unbroken
There lies the sacred part of me
      Inside I feel the pressure
      My faith I cannot measure
      Unspoken words that heal
This dream just can't be real and I say

Cover me while I'm sleeping, won't you cover me?
Cover me if I'm bleeding, won't you cover me?
Cover me, be my shadow, won't you cover me?
      Cover me, I will follow
Somewhere between the lines unbroken There lies the sacred part of me
      Inside I feel the pressure
      My faith I cannot measure
Seems like the wound has deepened I wake but I'm not breathing and I say

Cover me while I'm sleeping, won't you cover me?

      b) Stones Of Years

Has the dawn ever seen your eyes?
Have the days made you so unwise?
        Realize, you are.

Had you talked to the winds of time,
Then you'd know how the water rhyme,
        Taste of wine,

How can you know where you've been?
In time you'll see the sign
        And realize your sin.

Will you know how the seed is sown?
All your time has been overgrown,
        Never known.

Have you walked on the stones of years?
When you speak, is it you that hears?
        Are your ears full?

You can't hear anything at all

      c) Iconoclast

        ( Instrumental )

      d) Mass

        The preacher said a prayer.
Save ev'ry single hair on his head.
        He's dead.

The minister of hate had just arrived to be spared.
        Who cared?
The weaver in the web that he made!

        The pilgrim wandered in,
Commiting ev'ry sin that he could
        So good...

The cardinal of grief was set in his belief he'd saved
        From the grave
The weaver in the web that he made!

The high priest took a blade
To bless the ones that prayed,
        And all obeyed.

The messenger of fear is slowly growing, nearer to the time,
        A sign.
The weaver in the web that he made!

        A bishops rings a bell,
A cloak of darkness fell across the ground
        Without a sound!

The silent choir sing and in their silence,
        Bring jaded sound, harmonic ground.
The weaver in the web that he made !

      e) Manticore

        ( Instrumental )

      f) Battlefield

Clear the battlefield and let me see
All the profit from our victory.
You talk of freedom, starving children poor.
Are you deaf when you hear the season's call?

Were you there to watch the earth be scorched?
Did you stand beside the spectral torch?
Know the leaves of sorrow turned their face,
Scattered on the ashes of disgrace.

Ev'ry blade is sharp; the arrows fly
Where the victims of your armies lie,
Where the bladed of brass and arrows rein
Then there will be very little sorrow,
        Very little pain

      g) Aquatarkus

        ( Instrumental )

      9. Dreams

        Just one more mornin
I had to wake up with the blues
        Pulled myself outta bed, yeah
        Put on my walkin shoes,
        Went up on the mountain,
To see what I could see,
        The whole world was fallin,
Right down in front of me.
Chorus: Cause Im hung up on dreams Ill never see, yeah baby.
Ahh help me baby, or this will surely be the end of me, yeah.

Pull myself together, put on a new face,
Climb down off the hilltop, baby,
        Get back in the race.
      Chorus

Pull myself together, put on a new face,
Climb down off the hilltop, baby,
        Get back in the race.
      Chorus
