In the 70's, when you read the name Marcus ╠iller on the back cover of a record album, tracking the groove in the grooves was easy, and already it was a joy to hear to him play. In the early 80's, a certain Miles Davis hired him as his new bassist, and the world discovered the unique sound, the feline power, the energetic slap and the melodic verve of this unconventional musician. Gold was struck.

In 1986, "Tutu", one of Miles Davis' greatest works, sealed : their collaboration for eternity. The incredible talents of Marcus Miller also grace the music of Frank Sinatra, Roberta Flack, Al Jarreau, George Benson, Donald Fagen, Aretha Franklin... an exhaustive list: for further information visit www.marcusmiller.com. He also becomes a sought after producer and oomposec who triumphs with . singer Luther Vandross and saxophonist David Sanborn.

In 1993, 2 years after Miles Davis' death, he decides finally to release his first instrumental album "The Sun Don't Lie", which is the beginning of a series - evidently a cult - of studio treasures, where the vibrations of all kinds of music make his 4 bass strings sing and dance : jazz, rank, rhythm 'n' blues, rock, pop... quintessence. This album is the sonic sell-portrait of a music-man, able not only to live through his own melodies - recognized by thousands - but also to reincarnate those of John Coitrane, Ludwig van Beethoven or the Beatles -electric bass / eclectic bass...

Thanks Mister Miller; and let's groove Marcus!
