Track 1. Gibson Les Paul Junior:
I bought this very soon after meeting Leslie West - he had an equal impact on other guitarists' styles! This instrument featured on the TULL album, Aqualung and is still going strong.

    Track 2. Taylor Acoustic:
I bought this guitar from Chandlers Music Shop in London. Charlie (Chandler) had told me they were superb sounding instruments - he was right !

    Track 3. Gibson L5:
I met Annie Allman in Savannah, Georgia on a U.S.A. tour in 2002 - she is a lovely lady, her staff were so helpful with a guitar I needed repairing. We talked guitars and the outcome was the purchase of this beauty - built a few years ago - but sounding timeless.

    Track 4. P.R.S. Single Cutaway:
I met Jeff Lanahan of P.R.S. in Baltimore on tour (anyone who surfs is OK by me!). They built this black custom specially for me and it sounds big !

    Track 5. Bouzouki:
Ian (of TULL !) gave me this as a subtle way of suggesting I expand to eight strings occasionally. As a texture it works very well with other instruments.

    Track 6. Gibson ES 335:
This was my dream guitar when I was a youth in Birmingham. I couldn't afford this model so I bought the ES 330 - both were considerably cheaper in 1962 than the Cherry Red ES 335 I bought in 2002 for lots more !!

    Track 7. Andy Mason Mandolin:
For years I've poked fun at Mandolins mainly because my short fat fingers are not suited to the smaller scale. Finally I bought one; the sound and craftsmanship are amazing.

    Track 8. Manson Raven:
My main acoustic for many years. Built by Andy Manson and used on about every acoustic track I've ever recorded !

    Track 9- Manson Custom:
Built by Andy's brother - Hugh; who runs Mansons Guitar Shop in Exeter - the only shop in the world that locks me in until I buy something (only kidding !) - they run their store with great dedication and have helped me over the years with great patience and friendship.

    Track 10. McCollum Acoustic:
This guitar came by way of an introduction from Mark Mancina, a friend I met in California.

    Track 11. Hamer Custom:
Built by my great friend - Paul Hamer - from a piece of Walnut he kept in his basement for many years - respect !

    Track 12. Fender Stratocaster:
This is my stage guitar - its a great work-horse. Thanks to Chris Phylactou and the Fender Team.

    Track 13. Wechter:
Acquired via two good friends in the U.S.A. - Rick and Jane. This Track is my thank you to all who have bought this CD !

    Track 14. Fender Mustang:
Bought from Lakeland music in Mississippi (where my in-laws live). This track started as a demo with my Linn Adrenelin - I had so much run with it - I had to include it on the album !
