You didn't think I'd call it 7pm did you? Whilist listening to the last one. R.W. said he thought it seemed to be about companionship so I thought the album itself needed a companion. It lasts 50 minutes and most of the tracks were written around the same time as the last one, except '50 Minutes Mas Tarde' and 'Enotonik Bible Black' which started out as fragments from a 90 minute jam between Eno, Robert and myseif, after a boozy dinner at the studio during the recording of 'Cuckooland'. I then extracted two 2 minute sections and wrote something on top of them and sent them back to Robert and Eno separately, who did their 'thing'. In fact whilst in the room where the 'Grand Wazoo' was doing his thing, I ventured to say that I must have brought the wrong track along as I didn't recognise the music anymore. "Don't worry" he said, "Enotonik treatment is beneficial for all!". What started out as 1 minutes ended up as a 10 minute bonus track finally rendered and distressed by the mighty Bill MacCormick / PM ... Quiet Sun / 801 treatment!
The album has pretty much the same fellow musical conspirators on it. It continues my 'viaje sin Rumbo' (sic Bunbury). As R.W. says the great thing about never having been in fashion is that you are never out of fashion so I continue on my musical and lyrical journey writing about things that are on my mind. Spaced out time, in my Rock and Roll dream that takes place at the UFO club in '68 - 'Technicolor UFO'. Into the black hole with 'Bible Black'.
'Revolution', a word on the forefront of my mind since Havana '59 - the Argentinian question in my mini film noir that segues '50 Minutos Mas Tarde' and 'Desaparecido'.
Change and moving on in 'One Step' and 'That's All I Know', and finally "happy snaps' set to music in 'Swimming'. What started with 'Vozero' and continued with 6pm now seems complete and I'm right up to date, so, here on in it's freeform jazz!
    Watch this space ...
