Jean-Luc PONTY
Live At Semper Opera
(2002)
I had the opportunity to play in a great variety of venues throughout my career,
from jazz clubs to theaters to outdoor auditoriums to stadiums and a few opera houses,
but rarely in one as beautiful as the Semper Opera in the wonderful city of Dresden.
It was such a pleasure to be in this magnificent building, the acoustics were great and the full capacity audience,
a mix of jazz fans and opera subscribers, quiet at first, Üecāme more and more receptive as the concert was progressing. It turned out to be a special evening,
which we can experience again thanks to this live recording !
